Purpose:

As appointed by the Manager of Quality, the CASS/Quality Specialist assists in the implementation and administration of the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance and Quality Systems in accordance with airline and federal requirements.

Major duties include but are not limited to:

  • Perform daily and monthly CASS Data entry into the CASS tracking forms.
  • Perform daily review of discrepancies, MEL's and Escalations to isolate repeat discrepancies, abnormal trend occurrences.
  • Generate CASS reports and presentations.
  • Assist in the development of CASS and Quality procedures.
  • Serve as a contributing member of the CASS Working Group and attend scheduled CASS Meetings.
  • Assist the Manager of Quality in the implementation and administration of the CASS/Vendor Audit Process as set forth in this manual.
  • Conducts audits of Maintenance Department facilities and vendor repair agencies to include evaluations for adequacy, compliance, efficiency, and safety
  • Conduct outstation maintenance and fuel vendor audits to include evaluations for adequacy, compliance, efficiency, and safety.
  • Assist in audit planning, follow-up, assessing compliance with established process and procedures, and insuring complete and accurate documentation of maintenance
  • Generate audit reports to document deficiencies or hazards and to request corrective actions to deficiencies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Corrective Actions. Assist in the development and maintain Audit checklists.
  • Communicate with employees to determine if job functions are carried out with the aspect of quality in mind. This includes observing employees performing maintenance and maintenance support tasks.
  • Assist with the implementation of the Calibrated Tooling Control Program.
  • Assist in the development of Airline Manuals, Quality Alert Bulletins Maintenance Orders and Task Cards.
  • Assist with Technical Publication currency verifications and subscription renewals.
  • Any other job-related duties as assigned by the Manager of Quality

Experience and Skills:

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
  • Previous CASS/Quality experience is preferred.
  • Prior auditing experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Programs with an emphasis on Excel
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills required
  • Must possess a strong attention to detail
  • Must be available and eligible to travel to all company and vendor locations
