Purpose of the job:

Berry Aviation, Inc. operates a fleet of two SA-227AC Metroliners and four U.S. Army-owned UH-72 Lakota helicopters in support of the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site located in Kwajalein Atoll, Republic of the Marshall Islands approximately 2,200 miles southwest of Hawaii



List of Duties:


  1. Transport contractor and military personnel via UH-72 helicopter to and from outer islands in support of the day to day operations and mission requirements,
  2. Pilot our Metroliners in transporting radar support personnel and others to the island of Roi-Namur (50nm north) on a day to day basis.
  3. Fly to Wake island 650nm north and Majuro island 250nm south of Kwajalein Atoll periodically. As per contract, this is a dual-rated position requiring a one-year contract. This is an accompanied position.

Experience and Skills:


Unique skills or certifications needed to perform essential functions of the job:

  • Dual Rated (FW/RW)
  • FAA First Class Medical
  • Successful completion of FAA Background Check
  • Successfully Pass Pre-Employment Medical Examination
  • Successfully Pass Security Background Checks
  • Passport Required
  • ATP Airplane ME Land with Instrument Rating
  • Commercial Instrument Rotorcraft-Helicopter
  • Minimum 1500 hours Total
  • Minimum 1000 hours as PIC
  • Minimum 300 PIC hours is similar type aircraft



  • SA-227 Type Rating or Experience
  • LUH-72A, BK117C2 or EC145 Rating or Experience
  • US Army Aircraft Instructor Experience
  • Aviation Safety experience and/or courses

 Minimum education level to perform essential functions of the job:

High School diploma (Preferred: Undergraduate degree

Physical requirements of the job:

Incumbent is required to: be able to lift a minimum of 50 Lbs., perform aircraft piloting duties for up to 10 hours a day, be exposed to a wide variety of weather conditions while working outside including but not limited to extreme heat, cold and adverse weather conditions.
