Purpose of the job:

Berry Aviation, Inc. operates a fleet of two SA-227C Metroliners in support of the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site located in Kwajalein Atoll, Republic of the Marshall Islands approximately 2,200 miles southwest of Hawaii.

List of Duties:

  1. Pilot our Metroliners in transporting radar support personally and other to the island of Roi-Namur (50nm north) on a day to day basis.
  2. Fly to Wake Island 650nm north and Majuro island 250nm south of Kwajalein Atoll periodically.

This is a temporary assignment working in the Marshall Islands include:

Small town American atmosphere, no car (bikes ridden everywhere, no rent, no utility bills, meals provided, golfing, diving, snorkeling, fishing, pristine warm south Pacific waters, beaching, swimming, and craft shops.

Experience and Skills:

Minimum years of experience necessary to perform essential functions of the job:

Preferred:

  1. SA-227 Type Rating or Experience
  2. LUH-72A, BK117C2 or EC 145 Rating or Experience
  3. Previous Military Experience
  4. Previous Military Pilot School
  5. Us Army Instructor Experience
  6. Overwater Experience
  7. Army Aviation Safety Course Graduate

 

Minimum education level to perform essential functions of the job:

High School diploma (Preferred: Undergraduate degree)

 

Unique skills or certifications needed to perform essential functions of the job:

 

  1. FW Rated
  2. FAA First Class Medical
  3. Successful completion of FAA Background Check
  4. Successfully Pass Pre-employment Medical Examinations
  5. Successfully Pass Security Background Checks
  6. Passport requires
  7. ATP Airplane Multi-Engine Land
  8. Minimum 1500 hours Total
  9. Minimum 1000 hours as PIC
  10. Minimum 300 PIC hours is both Multi-Engine Airplane

 

 

 

Minimum: Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security clearance at the Secret level (U.S. citizenship required) Preferred: Holds a current and active U.S. Security clearance at the Secret level (U.S. citizenship required).

Physical requirements of the job:

Incumbent is required to: be able to lift a minimum of 50 Lbs., perform aircraft piloting duties for up to 10 hours a day, be exposed to a wide variety of weather conditions while working outside including but not limited to extreme heat, cold and adverse weather conditions.
